Bhumika Shrestha is transgender rights activist and politician, and the first Nepali to travel abroad on an "other" gender passport. Nepal's LGTBI community has won several recent victories. The country now provides a third gender option on official documents, and is the first in Asia to explicitly protect gender and sexual minorities in its constitution.
